Spell Check Anywhere adds spell check to all
windows programs including in MS Access. Spell Check
Anywhere lets you spell check your MS-Access forms, and
database. If you do data entry in MS Access, Spell
Check Anywhere lets you spell check your data entry.
You can also spell check special comments and
note fields. The spell checking saves all your text formatting such as
font, bold, italic and color.
In MS-Access,
you also use Spell Check Anywhere to spell check using a
Medical, Legal or foreign language
spell check.
To spell check in MS Access or in any windows
program,
download and install Spell Check
Anywhere. Then, press F11 on the
keyboard when the typing caret is visible inside the text to
spell check. Spell Check Anywhere highlights
misspelled words, and suggests correct spelling.
Interesting Facts About
MS-Access (Spell Check)
What is MS-Access (Spell Check)? MS-Access (Spell
Check) is just a database engine with
a user interface attached to it.
So what is a database engine?
Every software program is composed of two parts: data and
programming code. The programming code manipulates the
data. For instance, you have a program that search if a
certain first name and last name exist. So the code is what
searches and the list of data that is being searched is the
database.
Early on in the 1970s it was discovered by programmers that
many data manipulation and store code is repeated among all
programs. For instance, the ability to store information
such as last name, first name and address. Or the ability to
sort the data in rising order. Or the need to search for
data where all needed by almost all computer programs.
At the start of programming, each programmer had to write
his own little version of a database engine, such as
ms-Access (Spell Check) to handle his data programming needs. Eventually,
database engines become into being. Instead of each
programmer making a small specialized database engine for
their application, a general database engine was developed
to handle data manipulation.
A database engine allows a computer programmer to define
data, then store data and then perform actions on that
data. For instance, a data can be a social security number,
full name and address. Storing data can be such as
inserting a new record into the data. For example, "Joe
Johns, 011-72-0078, 270 Centre Street, Holbrook, MA 02343."
Actions on this data can be such as searching all data for
certain records such to check if a certain social security
number exists in that data or not. Other actions include
making reports off that data.
So today a database-engine does all of that. A
database-engine allows you to store data and take actions on
this data without much programming by the programmer.
MS-Access (Spell Check) is just one of such database-engine.
On top of this database-engine MS-Access (Spell Check) has a user
interface that allows a user of MS-Access (Spell Check) to record data and
take actions. But in reality any computer program can use
MS-Access (Spell Check) as its database engine to store and manipulate
data.
MS-Access (Spell Check) is a lightweight database. It cannot handle too
many records and it cannot handle high volume transaction on
the database. More than that, MS-Access (Spell Check) is not the most
stable program. Instead today there are professional
database engines such as Microsoft SQL and Oracle. This two
database engines are built to handle millions of
transactions and terabytes of information (about 1,000,000
times more data than MS-Access [Spell Check]).
However, such high performance comes with a price.
Therefore, MS-Access (Spell Check) is used mainly for small, one computer
programs. The more expensive solutions as MS-SQL and Oracle
are for large computer programs with thousands to millions
of users.
MS-Access (Spell Check) can cost around $100 to buy. Oracle can cost
around $200,000.00 to buy. Both are database-engines, but
one is commercial high performance, and the other is a small
version.
MS-Access (Spell Check) does not come with spell check. Any forms you
make with MS-Access (Spell Check) do not have spell check built in. Also
data entry done on MS-Access (Spell Check) does not have spell check.
Spell Check Anywhere adds spell check to MS-Access (Spell
Check) forms and
data entry.
With Spell Check Anywhere installed, you can spell check
MS-Access (Spell Check) data entry.
