Interesting Facts About MSN Email 

MSN Email was originally just Hotmail.  Jack Smith and Sabeer Bhatia created Hotmail with a $300,000.00 startup in the early 1990s.  Hotmail was a success and grow to 2 million subscribes by 1996 when Microsoft bought Hotmail for $400 million.

Hotmail quickly grew under Microsoft's advertising to reach 8 million users in 1997, and then 67 million users in 2001, and to 100 million users in 2002.  Current to 2003, Hotmail has 145 million users worldwide.

Initially Hotmail had just a few megabytes per e-mail box.  In 2004, Google opened it's own free web e-mail with mailboxes up 2 gigabytes (about 2048 times more data than Hotmail  [Spell Check]).  Hotmail then upgraded their offering to include 250mb of e-mail storage per mailbox.

   However, the problem with MSN Email , and all other free emails, is that many companies do not allow you to log an e-mail from a free provider such as MSN Email when registering for services.  This is since much fraud has been spawn by these free emails.
